Reel Short Teen Film Festival Submission Rules & Guidelines
Films must be produced by teens, grades 8-12, who reside in the state of Florida.
Films must be no longer than five minutes in entirety, including the requirements of a title and end credits.
More than one teen may work on a film, but the final version of that film may only be submitted by one teen.
Adults may serve as actors in a film, but they cannot perform any other duty in the writing, filming, editing, directing or producing of the film.
Entrants may submit up to three films for consideration.

FORMAT REQUIREMENTS:
Initial submissions must be via online screener. Please upload your film to YouTube or Vimeo and provide the link on the submission form. If video is password protected, please provide that information as well. Teens whose films are selected for either the Virtual Showcase or the Official Selections Screening  will be asked to provide high quality .MOV files to be delivered to Enzian on a USB flash drive or sent via a cloud storage service (i.e. Google Drive, Dropbox). Film file must be named with the film title and director’s name (ex: “Citizen_Kane Orson Welles”). Ensure that you “allow access” for Winter Park Library and Enzian staff to open/view/download the file.

LEGAL DISCLAIMERS:
When you enter a film in the Reel Short Teen Film Festival, you:
•give all sponsoring parties permission to use film title, images, names and other film info to promote future Film Festivals
•understand that a jury will review all submissions and select those to be screened at the Film Festival
•accept that the jury may not select films for the festival that contain excessive violent or obscene content

COPYRIGHT NOTIFICATION:
All music credits must be included in the final credits of your film. Photos and other such visuals plus various forms of music that were not created by you but found—on the Internet and elsewhere—are copyrighted, even if they don’t include the copyright character, “©” and the owner’s name.

Your film should not contain copyrighted material (songs, video, photography, etc.) unless you ensure that you have obtained permission for that material to be used. If your film includes copyrighted audio or visuals, you MUST include a statement in the credits certifying it is used with written permission from the copyright holder. If you do not have written permission to use copyrighted material, your film will not be selected.

TIMELINE:
ALL SUBMISSIONS DUE BY 9:00 PM SATURDAY, JANUARY 28, 2023.
A pre-jury committee will review every film entered to ensure they abide by submission guidelines. Films that are not deemed Official Screening Selections may be presented on our Virtual Showcase platform. Only Official Screening Selections are eligible to receive awards.

Filmmakers will be notified via email by Wednesday, February 1st, 2023 as to whether or not their film has been selected for the Virtual Showcase or as an Official Screening Selection (to be shown at Enzian Theater).
