San Diego Opera (SDO)’s first OPERA HACK, launched in 2018 with support from an OPERA America Innovation Grant, and brought together a diverse group of experts from theater and technology backgrounds to brainstorm and prototype new ideas to enhance the building blocks of opera. For the results of the first OPERA HACK, visit
www.operahack.org/results.
We have received another Innovation Grant to apply what we learned in the first iteration in order to identify and attempt to solve several of our industry's most important problems with new technologies. The results of this survey will be used to identify challenges that our hackathon participants will be given for our month-long event (June 4 - July 2, 2021).
We envision a future when the operatic artform can reach across differences in class, age, race, ability and more. This survey is to help us better to get to know you, break down barriers, improve our services, and report our impact. Please answer every question to the best of your ability.
This survey will close on Saturday, May 1, 2021.
OPERA HACK is made possible by an OPERA America Innovation Grant, supported by the Ann and Gordon Getty Foundation.
