Our discussions of Waking Up White led us to decide to read another book together as well as to continue to explore more deeply how to stand up to racism as upstanders instead of bystanders.  

David S. Derezotes, PhD, Professor, College of Social Work and Director, Peace and Conflict Studies Program, College of Humanities, will continue as our facilitator.  

We have decided to read:   White Fragility:  Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk about Racism by Robin Diangelo and MAY follow that with reading Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson.
