MVMS annual 7th & 8th grade picnic

The annual 7th & 8th grade picnic will take place on Monday, June 10 (raindate June 11) from 10:00 - 2:45 at the Sugar Loaf picnic area of Lewis Morris Park. Please carefully review the information below with your child and complete the permission slip no later than Friday, May 10, 2019. As always, please contact the school should you have questions.

General information:

1. Students must report to school at the regular time of 8:25 a.m. Transportation to the picnic will be by bus at approximately 10:00 a.m.
2. There is no transportation from Lewis Morris Park back to Mountain View. Parents must arrange for pickup at the picnic area at 2:45 (please see below).
3. The picnic is a school event, therefore per BOE policy 5516, cell phones and other electronic devices (ie: smart watches) are prohibited.
4. Food will be provided/prepared by parents.
5. The dress code policy applies to the picnic. Students should wear school-appropriate attire and footwear (no flip flops, slides, backless shoes, exessively short bottoms, strapless tops, middriff tops, or bathing suits).
6. Students may bring sunscreen, games, a beach towel, lounge chair, and/or blanket.
7. Sports equipment will be provided.
8. As attendance at the picnic is a privilege, students must be in good disciplinary standing to attend. Those who engage in inappropriate conduct in school will not be permitted to participate.
