NJICL Petition for Category Placement Exception
The New Jersey Interscholastic Cycling League (NJICL) permits student athletes to petition for category placement exceptions in accordance with policy outlined in the NICA Handbook, located here: https://nationalmtb.org/nica-handbook/

NJICL Exceptions are listed in appendix B, and supersede policies listed elsewhere in the handbook.   

Student athletes are expected to discuss petitions with their parent(s)/guardian(s) and Head Coach prior to submission. The NJICL will seek feedback from the Head Coach prior to reviewing via the rules committee. 

All petition requests must be time stamped prior to published deadlines, and will be answered prior to the registration closing date for each race.
