Alpha Gam Slam Fall 2022
Join Alpha Gamma Delta in our annual philanthropy volleyball tournament as we help strike out hunger! It will be held on September 25th starting at 10 am on the sand volleyball courts. In the event of bad weather- it will be moved inside the recreation center. For individuals wanting to support teams playing this year, the admission will be a can drive for God's Outreach in Richmond. Spectators can pay $3 to watch or bring 5 canned items.

It will be played bracket style, with a men's and women's bracket. The cost of one team is $50 and any additional team for the organization will be $20. Teams will consist of 5-8 people. Each team will play games best two out of three with matches to 21.

Alpha Gam Slam Rules

1.     Teams

a.     Everyone must be on team roster to play

b.     No more than 8 players per team

c.      If you are not on the roster you will have to pay the enterance fee of $3 or 5 donations for God’s Outreach Food Bank in Richmond to watch

2.     Please refer to the EKU IMLeagues handbook for volleyball rules

a.     Sets will be 10 minutes, totaling 30-minute games

3.     Attitude

a.     Bad sportsmanship and inappropriate/aggressive behavior will not be tolerated. If such behavior is witnessed, you may be asked to leave

b.     Vaping and alcohol will not be tolerated- anyone seen doing so will be asked to leave

c.      Do not argue with the referee or line judge; if an issue occurs, please have your team captain or coach talk to the referee

4.     Attire

a.     Tennis shoes must be worn by all players. Appropriate volleyball attire is required

5.     All team themes must be approved beforehand by the Vice President of Philanthropy of Alpha Gamma Delta

6.     All players must sign a liability form before they will be allowed to play in the tournament

7.     All entry fees must be paid before a team may participate in the tournament
