The Department of Physics at Texas Southern University (TSU) is seeking competitive applicants for National Science Foundation (NSF) and U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) funded research projects during the Fall 2022 semester.
Participants will receive training in conducting scientific research
along with opportunities to make significant progress in advanced science
fields. Furthermore, participant will be given one-to-one mentorship from expert
scientists as well as significant professional development opportunities. Pending
acceptable monthly performance evaluations during the semester, the
participants will earn paid stipends of $1,200 per month.
Eligibility:
1. must have legal right to work as U.S. citizens or permanent residents
2. must have and maintain a GPA at or above 3.0 on a scale from 0 to 4.0
3. must have at least 40 college credit hours towards their credit
4. students with a declared Physics major or minor will be given preference, although all qualified STEM students will be considered
