2023 SCHIMA Scholarship Application
Southern Colorado Health Information Management Association

SCHIMA will award four $5,00 scholarships to a student in a Health Information Management program, a Health Information Technology program, a Medical Coding Certificate program, or an approved masters degree program in a healthcare field, related to the Health Information Technology/Management profession.

For eligibility, you must meet the following criteria:  
 
1. Be a member of AHIMA and SCHIMA.
 
2. Reside in SCHIMAs geographical area, which is considered south of Douglas County, Alamosa, and east.

3. Be a student in good standing at a CAHIIM-accredited Health Information Management program, an accredited Health Information Technology program in Colorado, or enrolled in a PCAP-approved Medical Coding Certificate Program.

4. Have a 2.75 cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) for an undergraduate program or a 3.0 GPA for a graduation program on a 4.0 scale.
