The Australasian "Orange" Pulsar Meeting is a fortnightly telecon among the Australasian pulsar community. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, an in-person workshop was held semi-regularly, bringing together theorists and observers to discuss the most recent developments in pulsar and FRB science. The last two years have seen significant challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic, but also significant progress in the community, driven by developments in facilities, instrumentation, computing resources, and progress toward realising the SKA.
We are once again holding an in-person Orange Workshop. The workshop will be held November 1-2 2022, at the CSIRO Parkes Observatory Visitors Centre. The workshop will be held in a hybrid format, cast via Cisco Webex for remote participants. The workshop will consist of contributed presentations and discussion sessions. In-person attendees may have the opportunity to tour the telescope, subject to constraints from ongoing CryoPAF commissioning work occurring during the meeting.
In order to minimise the risk of COVID transmission at the workshop, we will require in-person attendees to wear masks while indoors, and to take a COVID test each day before attending the meeting. Further guidelines can be found in the COVID Risk Mitigation Strategy, linked below. All in-person attendees must read and abide by the COVID Risk Mitigation Strategy & Guidelines.
Please fill in this form to register your attendance to the meeting, submit a contributed talk abstract, and propose a discussion session topic if desired. There is no registration fee for this meeting. Please note that you will be able to add to or edit your responses (including talk abstracts) after submitting the form.
Please submit final talk abstracts by 10 October 2022. Registration for in-person attendance will close on 18 October 2022, and remote registration will close on 31 October 2022.
