Bloomington Sports Hall of Fame Nomination
The Bloomington Adult Sports Association inducted one or more persons into the Bloomington Sports Hall of Fame every year since 1980.  The Bloomington Athletic Association will be sponsoring this event.  The past inductees will still control the selectors for the Hall of Fame.  You have been identified as a possible candidate for this award; we would like you to fill out the following resume:

To be considered an individual must have contributed to the advancement of competitive sports programs in Bloomington. They should have distinguished themselves and brought honor to the community.  They are eligible to be a recipient the year of their 50th birthday.  They must have a minimum of ten years' involvement in the Bloomington sports programs (does not have to be consecutively).

The selection committee is made up of all former recipients who wish to participate in future selections.  As you fill out the resume keep in mind the selection committee is most interested in your activities in Bloomington, as a player, coach, referee, scorekeeper, administration, fundraising, etc.  Please list your involvement and the years you were involved in.  The committee is also church, service clubs, Chamber of Commerce, political party, etc.  They are also interested in your athletic participation and accomplishments for youth, high school, college, and adult teams.  Please list the teams and years played.

Qualifications for Bloomington Sports Hall of Fame Award
Candidate Qualifications:

Consideration shall be given to individuals who have contributed to the advancement of competitive sport programs in Bloomington.

Individuals should have distinguished themselves and brought honor to the community.  

Individuals must be fifty years of age or older in the year they receive the award.

Individuals must have a minimum of ten years' involvement in the Bloomington sports programs.

Individuals must have a resume on file to be considered.

The recipient must be able to attend the award ceremony.

Special awards or recognition may be given posthumously to individuals who have met the above criteria.

Sponsor Qualification:

Consideration to be given to individuals, groups, or companies that have contributed to the advancement of competitive sports programs in Bloomington.  

Their contributions to the program must have exceeded any material gain they may have received.

Sponsorship must meet a minimum involvement of ten years.

The sponsor must have a resume on file to be considered.

The recipient must be able to attend the award ceremony.
