You are invited to submit an abstract for presentation at the mfgCON powered by the NC Manufacturing Extension Partnership and Business NC.
Do you have best practices to share with your manufacturing peers? This is your opportunity to share your insights, knowledge and experience with an exclusive audience at the annual mfgCON on April 20-21 at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Submissions from consultants/vendors will be considered only if co-presenting with a manufacturer client. Co-presenters must be noted at the time of submission to be considered.
The Leadership and Workforce Excellence track will offer insight as it
relates to personal leadership development and provide best practices and
strategies for recruiting and retaining a skilled workforce. Suggested
leadership topics could include leading through change and disruption,
leadership development, building the agile organization, leading the lean
facility, building a winning culture, creating a culture of empowerment, risk
assessment and business continuity, crisis management and lessons learned,
developing a value-based company, time management, teamwork or personal
advocacy. Suggested workforce excellence topics could include Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI); effective strategies for employee
recruitment; new ways to train and upskill your workforce via credentialing,
badging and career pathways; alternative sources of workers recruiting
and retention, training within the industry, hiring veterans, project
management and time studies, teamwork, knowledge
management/onboarding/offboarding, using robotics and automation to address the
skills gap performance management, managing a multigenerational workforce,
employee engagement, developing a pipeline or youth apprenticeship models.
