Supporting Elections During COVID-19
The Center for Tech and Civic Life provides training, tools, and best practices to support you. What worries you most about conducting elections during the COVID-19 pandemic? What do you need?  What would make your life easier?

This could be anything — how to recruit pollworkers when people aren't leaving their homes, how to maintain cybersecurity from your home office, how to expand vote-by-mail, and more.

We brainstormed five vote-by-mail topics that might be useful during the COVID-19 pandemic, and want to prioritize topics that will benefit you most.
1. Policy tweaks — Changing election timelines, changing how voters return ballots to polling places, drop boxes, and vote centers.

2. Request forms for ballots — Using an online system and using form templates. This includes updates to voter registration forms and vote by mail request forms.

3. List maintenance — Ensuring your voter rolls are ready for expanded vote-by-mail and steps to get more accurate voter addresses.

4. Communications — Creating a communication plan to educate your voters about their options to cast a ballot. Putting together a digital task force.

5. Equity — Assessing and responding to how changes in the voting system impact specific groups in your community, including people of different races, ability levels, and language needs.
