Description: This introductory bioinformatics course from INBRE is designed for undergraduate students to gain technical training in bioinformatics. This course is focused on providing students with the necessary skills to learn R programming and utilize this software in their own biological data analysis. Through hands-on exercises and practical examples, they will gain proficiency in utilizing R to process, manipulate, and visualize data. Additionally, this course will cover essential concepts and techniques for performing a general genome analysis. No prior experience with R is necessary and by the end of the course, students will be equipped with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required to integrate bioinformatics into their own research projects.
