Serve Cloestesville was birthed out of response to hearing and seeing a need from our partners around holiday time and programs. People who work with vulnerable children and youth in an organisational capacity don’t get a break (as they are stepping into a parental/ caregiver role) or they take leave during the holidays and there is a concern for the care of their network of children.

In collaboration with a few organisations, we put together a holiday program for the first week of school holidays in the 2019 June/ July holidays. It was an awesome week and we learnt a lot!

This year, there are way more people part of the conversation about running holiday programs across Stellenbosch (praise God!) and it is bigger than last time in many ways. This year, our role to having to plan for the talking about Jesus sessions (which will be a shorter component of the day) and then to be hands in the program that is being run by others and loving on the kiddos. This is where you come in!
