Mark Henry was a friend to many in the meetings industry. He was a long time GMC member and a wonderful volunteer leader. Sadly, he passed away in December 2017. To honor his legacy, GMC PCMA has created the Mark Henry Scholarship, the purpose of which is to help members new to the industry fund the costs of PCMA membership.

The PCMA GMC Board will be awarding 50 2-year PCMA memberships to early career professionals in Mark's honor. 

The memberships will be awarded to eligible candidates in a first come, first served basis. The application will be open starting October 19th and close December 10th or will complete early if spots are filled before. For even distribution we will initially limit the number of awardees per organization to 10. Exceptions may apply depending on applicant demand.

As a requirement of the program, we ask that as a new member the awardee get involved in volunteerism in the PCMA GMC chapter for the 2-year membership. In the application it will ask for the committee of interest, and we hope that all will organizations support that involvement.

This program is eligible to industry professionals located in the following GMC Member states including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin or to professionals that have a home office or would like to claim GMC as their primary chapter.

All awardees will be contacted by Friday, December 12th at the latest.
