2022 Towson University Honors College Orientation Registration
**This registration form is only for incoming students who were admitted to the Honors College for fall 2022**

Welcome to the Towson University Honors College! As a member of our incoming class, you are invited to participate in Honors College Orientation on the afternoon and evening of August 24 and all day on August 25.

Please read the following details regarding the Honors Orientation program and complete the form below by July 1.

HONORS ORIENTATION FORMAT AND ATTENDANCE:

ALL new Honors students are required to attend Honors Orientation in person, which is a great opportunity for you to meet your peers and Honors faculty and staff, familiarize yourself with Towson University and the Honors College, and see the potential for college-level Honors courses. Full itineraries for the program will be available in advance of the event.

HONORS COLLEGE COMMON READ

A common read is a part of the Honors Orientation experience. The Honors College Read is an initiative designed to explore issues that contribute to broad intellectual development while also fostering intellectual ties between Honors students, faculty, and staff. This year’s book is WHAT THE EYES DON'T SEE: A STORY OF CRISIS, RESISTANCE, AND HOPE IN AN AMERICAN CITY by Mona Hanna-Attisha. Discussions question will be sent out prior to Honors Orientation and responses will be collected during our program. Can you attend Honors Orientation? This is a REQUIRED program for all Honors students. In rare instances, exceptions may be granted for students who need to miss the program such as international students traveling from overseas. If you cannot attend, please give a reason in text box following this question.

Please let us know where you plan to be living in the fall. Douglass House, another residence hall on campus, off campus but local, or commuting from further away etc.
Information for residential students:

In which academic college is your intended major? *
If you will have more than one major that exist in two different colleges, please choose your strongest academic preference. We try to organize at least one Orientation activity with students in similar majors. If you know you will change your major, but you have not made the change with the academic advising office yet, please select the college you prefer to go to, even if it is different from your application or student services center account. If you are a member of a varsity or D-I athletic team (not club or intramural) or in a university band at Towson University, please write the name of the team or band in the space below. Being a part of an athletic team or band does NOT excuse you from Honors Orientation.
