Leather worker Sheila Cailleau is offering free mitten-making mini-workshops on Wednesdays this summer. Participants learn how to make leather mittens by creating mittens from reused coats that will be donated to those in need once they are completed. Participants can then use the skills they have learned to make their own mittens in the future!

Sheila has been collecting unwanted leather and fur jackets to be repurposed create warm and durable mittens. These mittens will be distributed to organizations that offer support to people living without stable housing.

This free workshop is offered Wednesdays 12-3:30pm all summer at the C2 Centre for Craft at 329 Cumberland Ave, Winnipeg Manitoba. Masks are required for those participating.
