There are currently few good north-south bicycling and walking options in south-east Austin, which creates a major barrier to safe transportation in and beyond this part of town. This needs to change.

Protected bike lanes and pedestrian improvements on South Pleasant Valley Road (between Oltorf and Onion Creek Park) would be a leap forward for south-east Austin and for the whole city.
