Our event will kickoff with a reception on 21 June, Friday evening in the hotel
reception room for a time of comradery, jollification, and fellowship.
Compatriots are encouraged to attend this as well as take a short drive over to
the battlefield to see the living history encampment set up and talk to the
participants there.
On Saturday 22 June, the Wreath Laying Ceremony for the 244th Anniversary of
the Battle of Ramsour’s Mill will occur at the battlefield near the Mass Grave
at 10 AM. The encampment will be open to the public all day, and Compatriots
are encouraged to make their way to the area behind the cabin to see this
during the day. If all goes well, there will be a reenactment of the battle
that afternoon or at the very least a weapons demonstration. There will be
other demonstrations occurring continuously all-day Saturday and Sunday
including cooking, storytelling, singing, camp life, 18th Century medicine,
militia drills, and living off the land.
On Saturday evening, if all goes well, the event will host a Ghost Walk starting in the early evening. Please consider joining us for that as well.
On Sunday 23 June, the encampment will be open and will include a church
service that morning and in the afternoon, camp presentations will continue
including a weapons demonstration, and possibly a battle reenactment.

available. The deadline for registration and getting our group rate is
23 May 2024. If we fill all of these, the hotel will attempt to get more,
however, this is a first come first served basis.
