We are in need of facilitators like you for our young people on the Central Coast.
About Love Bites:
NAPCAN’s highly regarded Love Bites programs have been running in schools and community groups on the Central Coast since 2009. The interactive and engaging sessions focus on the development of respectful relationships for young people aged 11 to 17. The programs aim to provide a safe environment in which young people can discuss and learn about their rights and responsibilities in relationships and look at ways to access support when needed. During the sessions, young people are introduced to a number of services in the community and encouraged to support their friends by utilising safe, healthy and proactive strategies.
Who should attend:
Those experienced working with young people and families and are comfortable working in the areas of sexual assault and relationship violence. It is expected that those who attend our training can commit to assisting us in delivering the program to schools across the Central Coast region. Facilitators who complete training are committing to facilitating at least one school each term with Love Bites Central Coast each calendar year. Facilitators need to seek permission from their employer to attend training and facilitate sessions. Facilitators will be paid by their own organisations, or conduct facilitation on a volunteer basis.
Cost:
Coast Shelter is heavily subsidising this training for participants,
it is $150 a head for the two day senior training $80 for Junior If you do not attend four schools a calendar year you will be invoiced the full training cost of $595 for senior and $300 for junior.
