Milton Public Library Greeter Desk: Volunteer Application

The Milton Public Library is seeking high school students to volunteer as Desk Greeters.

Greeters staff a desk in one of three locations, pending weather and their own comfort: outdoors in front of the library, in the library vestibule, or in the front lobby. Masks are required at all times while in the library, and volunteers will be expected to arrive with their own masks. Volunteers greet incoming patrons and inform them of the current policies for library use, note when patrons have left to track our maximum allowance of twenty simultaneous patrons, and operate a walkie-talkie to inform library staff of curbside pickup requests or a patron who has overstayed their appointment.

We are looking for afterschool weekday shifts from 3PM to 6PM, and minimum two hour shifts between 9AM to 5PM on Saturdays, and 1PM to 5PM on Sundays. Priority will be given to volunteers who are able to consistently work the same shift (eg, every Monday from 3-6pm).
