Thank you for your interest in the YUP! Youth Advisory Council!
Young United Parents (YUP!) is recruiting new members to serve on its Youth Advisory Council (YAC). The YAC members are responsible for creating video content and promoting YUP!, a unique and innovative online program exclusively by and for young parents.
The YAC is composed of young parents aged from 15 to 26 years old. This is a paid opportunity (5 hours per month) and all participation will occur virtually. We are accepting members from across the United States. All races and genders are encouraged to apply; we are especially interested in applicants under 18 years old.
We ask that Council Members commit to one year of service.
Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Attending the monthly council meetings via Zoom
- Completing monthly assignments in a timely manner
- Creating video content for YUP!
- Serving as a YUP! Ambassador
Ideal candidates will:
- Have lived experience as a young parent
- Have experience with various social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, TikTok)
- Be comfortable appearing on video in content created for young parents
