Who Can Apply?
Anyone who enrolled in an agriculture class for the 2020-21 school year and has a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. FFA membership payment ($25) will also be required after the beginning of the school year. Attendance at the Chapter Officer Retreat in August will be mandatory.
The chapter is looking for highly motivated, creative, and dedicated people to plan service projects and activities and run the Mountain View Chapter for this year. As one of the first officer teams for Mountain View, you will get to establish traditions, attitudes and activities that may be carried on into other years! We want you to make this chapter super awesome!

Officer Positions:
President: Oversees all chapter activities and represents the chapter at school functions. Required at all times to be an example of upstanding citizenship and leadership, even when not at FFA activities. Coordinates with other officers on all activities. Oversees the completion of the Superior Chapter Award, National Chapter Award & any other chapter awards. (Does not have supreme power over the chapter :))
Vice President: Is in charge of the POA, oversees committees and coordinates with other officers on all activities.
Secretary: Keeps minutes of each meeting, is in charge of the chapter secretary’s book and all major correspondence, and coordinates with other officers on all activities. Oversees completion of the chapter roster.
Treasurer: Is in charge of the chapter budget, oversees the finance committee, completes the chapter treasurer’s book, and coordinates with other officers on all activities. Oversees completion of the Five Star Chapter Award.
Reporter: Writes MONTHLY articles that appear in the local and state newspapers and online forums (including social media), takes the pictures at all FFA activities, completes the chapter scrapbook, and coordinates with other officers on all activities.
Sentinel: Coordinates with the school to schedule all building needs, schedules equipment that we will need to use, and coordinates with other officers on all activities. Updates the chapter calendar on the AET.
Historian: Completes the chapter scrapbook, and coordinates with other officers on all activities.
Committee Chairmen: Over specific activities. Puts together a group of members to plan and carry out activities.
