PBS Hockey Registration 2023
Please use this form to register your child to play Hockey for PBS this season. Fees for 2023 are:
Year 1/2 - $60
Year 3/4 - $70
Year 5/6 - $80
Year 7/8 - $80
This helps to cover KCJH fees, turf fees, equipment, and basic first aid.

To play, students need to have a PBS sports top (purchase from school), navy blue shorts, plain blue knee length socks, appropriate footwear, shin pads, mouth guard, and a hockey stick.

To register your child for Hockey:
- Fill in and submit this Google Form by 5 pm Wednesday 26 April
- Pay Hockey Fees on Kindo between Wednesday 26  April and Tuesday 5 May

Please discuss with your child their responsibilities as a team member. Students are committed for the whole season regardless of what team they are placed in.  Playing times are set out below in the message from KCJH. PBS will also have school practice sessions at the turf for Years 3-8, Fridays 3.30-4.30.

MESSAGE FROM KAPITI COAST JUNIOR HOCKEY:

2023 Season

We will have skills sessions for the first 2 weeks of the season prior to the competition games kicking off again this year. Like previous years we will run these at the same days and times as when the games will be played. 

  • Year 7/8’s skills sessions will start on Tuesday 9th May with the competition starting Tuesday May 23rd.
  • Year 5/6’s skills sessions start Wednesday 10th May with the competition starting Wednesday May 24th.
  • Year 3/4’s skills sessions will start Sunday 7th May with the competition starting Sunday May 21st.
  • Mini’s (Year 1/2's) will start Sunday 7th May

2023 Playing Times

  • Minis – Funsticks (Preschool and Year 1 & 2) - This age group plays from 8.45am to 9.30am on Sunday mornings. The programme is based on basic hockey skill development followed by small field games.
  • Juniors (Year 3 & 4) - Games are scheduled between 9.45am and 11am on Sunday mornings.
  • Year 5 & 6 Games are between 3.40 - 6.15pm. They play half field 6 v 6 40 minute games (20mins each way).
  • Year 7 & 8 Games are between 3.40 – 6.15pm. They play half field 6+goalie v 6+goalie 40 minute games (20mins each way).

We will continue to actively work with Junior Players who wish to give umpiring a go. Anyone who is interested can contact us at  juniors@kapitihockey.org.nz
