LatinX/Hispanic Heritage Month is September 15-October 15, 2021!

Join us for the first Virtual Family Night of the 2021-2022 school year hosted by the DEI+B Committee Friday October 1st at 6pm. Sign-up to register for the event and to receive the supplies for our fun cooking activity. Individuals that register for cooking supplies will receive information for pick-up the week of September 27th. The Zoom link to join will be shared closer to the event. This event is open to anyone so please share with other families and friends.

Family Online Cooking Class Supplies

You will need the following to participate in the family cooking class activity.
2 avocados
Cilantro
Onion
4 large Roma or beefsteak tomatoes
1 additional tomato of your choice
1-2 limes
Salt
Sugar (optional)
serrano chile pepper (optional)

We will provide supplies for pick-up to those that have registered and requested supplies by September 20, 2021. It is not required to use our supplies and you can feel free to purchase or use your own.

The Bixby Elementary PTA Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee is a new committee of the Bixby Elementary PTA. Our mission is the same as the LBCPTA Diversity and Inclusion Committee which is to promote an enriching and supporting climate with a racial, gender, and social equity lens that allows all members of the LBUSD community to thrive and succeed. Each month we will be highlighting/celebrating holidays and months that promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. This program is part of that celebration.
