9/24/24 - 10/24/24 CERT Basic Training Registration
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during CERT exercises, members can assist their community or workplace following an emergency event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.

The following is the schedule for the Fall CERT Basic Training Class.  Classes will be at the Flagler County Emergency Operations Center from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m

Tuesday, October 1 —Disaster Medical Operations—Part 1

Thursday, October 3 —Disaster Medical Operations—Part 2

Tuesday, October 8 —Disaster Psychology

Thursday, October 10 — Fire Safety & Utility Controls

Tuesday, October 15 — Light Search & Rescue Operations

Thursday, October 17 —CERT & Terrorism

Tuesday, October 22 — Course Review, Final Exam & Simulation Brief

Thursday, October 24 —Disaster Simulation and Graduation 

Attendance is necessary at ALL Sessions to receive certification.  (If you are unable to attend all sessions you can make up miss sessions at future CERT Basic Courses.)  Attendees receive all materials needed during the course including manuals, backpacks of supplies and a free t'shirt upon completion.
