2022 Summer Mentor Application
Use this form only if you want to be a Mentor for One on One Sessions for 2022
Mentors must be 18 or older by June 1, 2022.
The ideal Mentor:
Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Must pass a background check
Possesses a desire to show love to all who visit the ranch
Willing to support and contribute to the mission of H.U.G.S. Ranch
Able to commit to 1 day per week for 8 weeks of summer (June 6-30 & July 11-August 4)
Can deal appropriately with confrontation from children/teens, parents, or other volunteers
Is caring, patient, and able to withhold criticism while holding the participant accountable to ranch rules
Able to work one-on-one with children and teens ages 5-18
Must abide by policies stated in the ranch Staff/Mentor Manual

All of our t-shirts are a unisex adult size. We do not have children's sizes.
What days/times are you available to Mentor? *
We ask that all mentors commit to being here consistently one time slot/week June 6-30 and July 11-August 4. We do allow you to miss up to two weeks. If you know you are going to miss more than two weeks during the summer (due to camp, family vacation, mission trips, etc.) We suggest you apply another year.

Mentor Essay *
Both new and returning mentors are required to submit a 200-300 word essay answering the following questions: Why do you want to be at the ranch? In what way do you think you can help the kids who come to the ranch? How can the ranch help you personally?  Are you struggling with anything in your life H.U.G.S. Ranch can help you with in some way? Please be as specific as possible
