Dear Grade 4 & 5 Parents/Guardians:

We are excited about the start of our cross country season which also marks the start of our exciting sports season at Hope Lutheran Elementary. Last season, our Cross Country  team placed third among "B" schools in our league.  Practices are scheduled for Tuesdays  at lunch hours in order to prepare for the 2 km race on Wednesday, Oct. 23  at Bear Creek Park.  There is one special practice race around the Coquitlam River  on Monday,  Oct. 21 from 3:00 to 4:00. Please carefully review the information below if your child is participating in cross country this year. Cross country runners are also required to participate in the after school KM club .

Date of race:   Wed., Oct. 23

Students will need to bring: school gym strip (mandatory), additional warm layers of clothes and extra socks, healthy lunch and water bottle, and money for concession.
   
Departure time: 8:30 am from Port Coquitlam Campus

Expected return time: Approximately 2:00pm at Port Coquitlam Campus

Supervision:  Mr. Mathew and various parent volunteers

Transportation provided by: Parent Volunteer drivers
