To be able to provide useful input, some background information on this input session might be valuable to read;

- Throughout the year, the board felt like the design of the association room could be improved, but they felt that none of the problems could be solved with the limited space we have available. Some of these problems were:
   * Next to the cookie corner, the room only provides spaces to work at for active members, while it should be a place for all members to be able to gather.
   * When entering the association room, there is no clear contact person, making it intimidating to talk to people and difficult to ask questions.
   * Active members that try to work for the association are often distracted by people using the same workplaces to relax and play games.
   * Even after thorough cleaning, the room feels messy.
- At the profit plan input session, a lot of ideas were given that could be used to improve the association. Seeing that a lot of these ideas fit under the same topic 'changing the association room', the board felt like some positive changes were in fact possible. An overview of the proposed changes can be found in page two of the 'strategic plan association profit'.
- Over a period of about two months, the board created a new design for the association room, solving most problems within the limited available space. This design was made in collaboration with the candidate board, system administration committee, and several other members. The design was eventually presented at the GMM of June 23 as the piece 'remodel association room'.
- As a reaction, one of our active members wrote a letter to the GMM, disagreeing with the design, and proposing a new design, this letter is named 'Letter Wessel Ammerlaan'.
- Since it was clear that some improvements could be made to the original design, and to better clarify the reasoning behind some choices in the original design, the board wrote a reply to the letter, named 'Letter from the board'.
- During the GMM of June 23, some other ideas were given to the way the association room could be designed. Since a GMM is not the best place to discuss such matters, it was decided to host this input session. The discussions can be found in pages 5-8 of 'Minutes GMM 223 23 Jun'.
- During the same GMM, it was decided to let a remodel of the association room continue in the summer vacation, as this is the best period of the year to do this.
