Educator Opportunity to Create Flashcard Sets for OpenStax textbooks

My name is David Handel, MD, and I am the co-founder and CEO of iDoRecall.com.

I am searching for subject matter experts: college lecturers, instructors, professors, or high school AP course teachers who are currently teaching a course for which one of these OpenStax textbooks to be appropriate: https://openstax.org/subjects You must have an advanced degree relevant to the course subject. (Please don’t apply if you don’t meet this qualification.)

This work can be done from home and consists in creating digital flashcards on the iDoRecall.com platform to supplement the relevant OpenStax textbooks for your assigned subject.

Compensation for this work includes a $500 honorarium and several other benefits. We need at least 250 flashcards from your assigned book but the final number will be based on your expertise at curating all of the essential facts, concepts and formulae in the text that a student should know and creating a flashcard for each of these.

iDoRecall is a unique flashcard app that enables students to read their digital learning materials and create flashcards as they read, linked to the concepts, facts, terms, and formulae they want to remember. Flashcards can be linked to the content in Word files, PowerPoints, PDFs, image files, text and images on webpages, Kindle highlights, and time codes in YouTube videos.

When students practice memory retrieval with these flashcards, they can click the source link if they struggle with an answer. The source content will open at the exact relevant location, enabling them to quickly refresh their memory in the original context where they learned it.

One of the features of iDR is the ability to create a group within the app where students can invite their classmates or educators can invite their students. Members can share their flashcards and learning materials within a group, and others use that content by cloning it to their personal accounts.

I can train you, with little effort, in the use of iDoRecall to make this a breeze.

The flashcards that you created will be used to create a featured public group on iDoRecall where educators and students from all over the world will be coming to utilize your content in a group based upon your work.
Besides receiving the $500 honorarium...

Optionally, and a real plus in support of your application, I hope you would be willing to engage with students who join your group. Every group will have a discussion channel that I will set up specifically for the group members. This channel will likely be a Facebook group.

There will be an opportunity for you to promote your personal brand within the group, to whatever degree that might appeal to you. For instance, you will be able to share your podcast, blog, personal website, YouTube Channel, or any other channels that you have so that students can engage with your content and career. Additionally, you will be able to offer remote tutoring to students who join your discussion group, if you wish, in private practice, with all proceeds going to you. These are the potential benefits beyond the honorarium and whatever pleasure you will derive from delivering your subject matter expertise to an engaged group of students.
