Rapid Art Movement (RAM) is an arts event in constant motion. Every artwork and performance at the event will be mobile, constantly changing locations over a three-hour period. There will be no fixed locations, only a geographic zone of ever-shifting activity. In this way, it is an event built around surprising encounters that also encourages social distance. It is open to any visual and performing artist (actor, dancer, musician, drag queen, etc.) as long as their pieces are mobile. Artworks may be attached to a body, a sandwich board, a cart, a bicycle, a motor vehicle, a u-Haul, etc. Artists may participate individually or in groups. Performances will change locations after each performance.

𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭: the Monroe North neighborhood (Monroe to Ottawa, Trowbridge to Mason)

𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬: As the event is to be in constant motion, there are time constraints for each participant.
• The longest any visual artist may stay in one place is five minutes
• The longest any performer may stay in one place is 15 minutes.
• The longest any vehicle may stay in one parking spot is thirty minutes

𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐞
• Participants will be given an individual route to follow during the event, like a personal parade route.
• The aim is neither to block the sidewalk nor the street, so street vehicles will follow normal traffic patterns, and sidewalk participants must be nimble enough to let others pass.
