At Able Bodied it is our mission to lower the cost of electric assist handcycling. The Get 1 Help 2 program is our strategy to meet this goal. Think of it like a pyramid scheme for good..

We will help you
1. Apply for grants to get funding for your handcycle. Some people have been able to stack three grants and receive over $10K in funding to help purchase their handcycle. If funds allow, we may help pitch in for the purchase of an ebike conversion kit in some cases.

2. Help you figure out the best handcycle for your needs and budget. If it is purchasing a used handcycle and adding an electric assist conversion kit ($3K-$8K) or buying a $15K electric assist direct from the manufacturer

3. Help you figure out how to build a ramp to make transferring in and out of your handcycle easy

4. Help you figure out how to modify your handcycle to meet your needs

What we ask in return is the following
1. We can put your approximate address on a map along with your handcycle details so we can build out our global network of "Able Bodied Ambassadors"

2. Respond to requests  we get from users to get your contact information

3. Help two people build their own handcycle in a similar way we helped you
