Social Media Manager Application Form

Voluntary Roles (unpaid)

Weekly commitment: 5-7 hours, 
- 3 hours of meetings and 2-4 hours of independent work

Requirements: 
Essential
****Must be a current student at the University of Edinburgh***
Desirable
- Preference will be given to students in their 1st to 3rd years and postgraduates
- no previous experience in a non-profit is required but relevant experience, skills or knowledge of your desired role is preferred
Skills: Teamwork and collaboration, independent initiative and motivation, creativity and problem solving, organised with the ability to successfully work to deadlines 
This are all skills which we will help you to develop through our training and upskilling
Team member commitments: 
  1. Attend weekly in person team meetings, subteam meetings, office hour and drop-in meetings with the Managing Director held at the same time each week as per everyone’s availability. One networking event and stall per semester 
  2. Maintain consistent communication with team members via our slack channel
  3. Complete monthly evaluation form and stipulated tasks within self-set deadlines on trello

Social Media Manager 1

  • Responsible for posting one tweet a wee
  • posting content created 3-4 times a week on instagram (one/two graphics and 2 images
  • Facilitating two collaborative posts per semester
  • Sending posts into the Sanitree instagram group that we have posted ourselves or been featured in and ensure team members are resharing these
  • Keeping the LinkTree up-to-date with relevant links and informatio
  • Creating semesterly and monthly posting timelines for instagram grid and twitte
  • Ensure content creator is meeting deadlines
  • Create a monthly plan and report for twitter with targets and engagement
Social Media Manager 2

  • Post minimum of three stories every other day (minimum of two original sets of stories a week and the rest can be shared from other accounts)

  • Adding story plans to instagram timeline 

  • Keep instagram highlights up-to date

  • Create one reel every two weeks 

  • Respond to instagram and facebook DMs

  • Responsible for facebook 

  • Create monthly targets and report for instagram and facebook engagement

Interviews 

Individual and group interviews will be conducted on the 22nd and 23rd of April.

Please ensure you come to the interview having completed some research and preparation into Sanitree as an organisation and your role. Have a think about your vision and how your past experience shows us that you can achieve this.
