GPS: Isolate Bank Requests
A global collection of pneumococcal isolates are published through the Global Pneumococcal Sequencing project (GPS, https://www.pneumogen.net/gps/). Project leaders review requests and facilitate to seek permission from project partners for approval.

The release of the bacterial samples is decided by the project partners who contributed the collection. The request may involve cost for sample preparation. The requestor should pay shipping fees and complete the paper works required for material transfer.  

To request for isolates, please fill out the following information and provide a 1 to 2 pages summary document includes the following sections to gps@pneumogen.net
- Name and affiliation
- Objective(s)
- Public health importance
- Plans for publication
- Biohazard issues
- Projected timeline to complete project
