The Vermont Releaf Collective stands for Racial Equity in Land, Environment, Agriculture, and Foodsystems. We are a growing network created by and for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and people of color) in Vermont who enjoy, work in, lead in, benefit from, and contribute to the focus areas — land, environment, agriculture, and foodways — of the Collective. From farmers and land stewards to restaurant employees, entrepreneurs and activists to scientists and practitioners, advocates and researchers to educators and enthusiasts, our network is creating a collective alliance of BIPOC stakeholders and organizations who are deeply committed to promoting racial equity in land, environment, agriculture, and foodways initiatives.
We are a network of BIPOC Vermonters involved in the four focus areas as a space to amplify our voices and experiences; to share a platform to develop our community by connecting and learning together; and to advocate for opportunities and success in our state and beyond.
Our initiatives include facilitating spaces for BIPOC to network and connect based on interests, supporting and amplify community projects and businesses, connect community members with community events and opportunities (work, professional development, grants, etc.), and strengthening our vibrant community through advocacy and education using our platform.
Membership is free and includes access to all Releaf events. The time commitment and participation for members is casual and self-determined. Please fill out this 10-minute interest form, and someone will be in touch soon regarding membership.
