IHNZ are pleased to announce a new initiative with a series of 2 day Regional Development Camps to be held during 2022.
These camps are designed for all players regardless of ability within the 10U to 16U grades inclusive and that each player will gain the knowledge and skills of what they need to further develop their individual skill level. From 2023 these camps will be extended to a 3 day camp.
The key focus of the camps is twofold:
1 - to develop youth players across these age groups and provide on and off rink skill and game development opportunities. These camps will be based upon small area drills, station work and general on rink skills.
2 - to develop our club coaches by inviting them to attend these sessions as an upskilling opportunity, take an active role in the program and learning new skills and approaches to coaching and development they can take back to their clubs and regions
Camps are scheduled as follows:
Auckland - 9/10 July 2022, Activezone
Kerikeri - 27/28 August
Levin - 6/7 August
Hamilton - 17/18 September
New Plymouth - 24/25 September
Christchurch - TBC
Cost - $40 per player per camp
Once you have registered you will receive an email with the full schedule attached.
- Players will be divided into groups depending on skill level, in order to help each individual reach their full potential.
- Camps are fully supervised so you are able to leave your player at the rink and pick up later but you are also welcome to stay and watch.
- Please ensure that you arrive with enough time to get ready for your session without holding any others up.
- Everything is timed to run and any delay detracts from your experience and coaching time.

- Pen, paper,
- Water bottle
There will be a number of breaks scheduled. Food and snacks will be the players responsibility
