Pedro Foro has become a key player under manager Enze Postecoglou.

Foro was loaned to Tottenham Hotspur during last season. It was a loan with a mandatory transfer option. Coach Antonio Conte, who was leading Tottenham at the time, highly evaluated Poro's ability to participate in the attack, and maximized Poro's offensive ability by deploying him as a right wingback. Even though it was his first season in the Premier League (PL), Foro performed well and raised expectations for the next season.

However, ahead of this season, Tottenham's head coach was replaced by coach Postekoglou, and it was expected that there would be a change in Foro's position. There were also concerns that Poro may be pushed out of the competition for the starting spot because Poro prefers more linear movements and his defensive skills are not that good compared to his offensive ability.

This was unfortunate. Foro changed his style under coach Postekoglou and was reborn as a new player. Coach Postekoglou asks the side defenders to participate in the attack, and hopes that they will sometimes move to the center to contribute to the midfield fight and build-up rather than unconditionally overlapping. Foro has transformed into an inverted fullback this season and is contributing to Tottenham's upward trend by exactly following coach Postekoglou's requests.

Foro has now become an integral part of Tottenham's starting lineup, as have players such as Son Heung-min, James Maddison and Christian Romero. Last season, he had to constantly compete with Emerson Royal, but this season he has clearly established himself as a starter.

The UK's 'Football London' also said, "After playing eight Premier League (PL) games, Coach Postekoglou has a player who cannot be left out of his best eleven list. It is Poro, who started the 2023-24 season brilliantly as a right back. “He paid attention to Foro’s performance under coach Postekoglou.

“Foro has had to change his style slightly this season, but he has still impressed in the attacking area. There were concerns about his defensive ability last season, but he has since proven that he is more than capable of doing so. “I did it,” he added.
