State Center Community College faculty provide training and education vital to the success of our region. But for far too long, the District has failed to create an environment where faculty are adequately supported to guide students through their educational journey.
We urge the District to
agree to a fair contract as soon as possible
that ensures:
Affordable Healthcare for All Faculty
: The district must reduce full-time faculty healthcare cost, and does not offer part-time faculty healthcare at all. This poses a risk to the health and wellness of our campuses and communities.
Equitable Living Wages
: increase wages given rising cost of living, and advance pay equity for all faculty.
Student Success
: make
office hours
available for all faculty to provide students with the one-on-one attention they need to succeed.
Safe Campuses
: district policies fail to ensure classroom safety for students and faculty.
