Chesterbrook Elementary is participating in the 2022 Scripps National Spelling Bee process. This opportunity is open to students Grades 1 - 6.

        1. Spelling bee materials will be sent home with registered students during the week of Dec. 13 so they may prepare for the process. All registered students will take a Written Spelling test after school on TUESDAY, JANUARY 11, 2022.
        2. Students who do well on the written test will be invited to compete in Chesterbrook’s school-wide oral bee after school on February 15, 2022.
        3. Those invited to participate in the Oral Spelling Bee will have the opportunity to attend practice sessions prior to the Oral Spelling Bee on Tuesday, February 1 and 8, 2022 after school.
        4. Chesterbrook’s oral bee winner will advance to the Fairfax County Spelling Bee in March 2022.
        5. The Fairfax County bee winner will compete against students from across the country in the National Spelling Bee during the week of Memorial Day 2022 at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland
