WETA, the agency that provides San Francisco Bay Ferry service, is providing complimentary shared Uber rides for South San Francisco ferry riders impacted by the closure of the Main Street Alameda Ferry Terminal between October 23 and January 1.

Riders are eligible to receive two daily complimentary shared Uber rides per day between anywhere on Alameda Island and the Oakland Ferry Terminal between the hours of 5:30-9:00 AM and 3:30-6:30 PM. Submit the information below and you will receive a voucher in your Uber account applicable during the closure. An email address or mobile phone number must be provided.

Uber Voucher Disclaimer and Release/Wavier
Limited availability. No cash value. Maximum discount of $50 per redemption. Maximum of two trips/day per account. To redeem discount, an Uber Voucher code (requested from WETA) must be available and applied to the Payment section of the Uber App prior to requesting the intended trip. Uber Voucher valid from October 23 through December 31, 2023 on weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 5:30-9:00am and 3:30-6:30pm.  Uber Voucher is only valid for trips between the Main Island of Alameda, CA and the immediate vicinity (within approximately 1/4 mile) of the Oakland Ferry Terminal in Oakland, CA. Taxes and other fees, except driver tips, will be covered provided that the value of the Uber Voucher is greater than the total order amount. Voucher does not include the cost of any driver tip. Rider is solely responsible for paying the full cost of any driver tip selected by the rider. Offer is non-transferable, subject to change or cancellation. Issues involving redemption and/or use of the Uber Voucher code should be directed to the San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority at customerservice@sanfranciscobayferry.com.

For good and valuable consideration, I hereby release the San Francisco Bay Area Water Emergency Transportation Authority, its directors, officers, employees, and contractors (collectively referred to as "WETA") from, and agree not to sue WETA concerning, or in any manner to institute, prosecute, or pursue, any claim, complaint, charge, duty, obligation, demand, or cause of action of any kind, nature, and character, known and unknown, against WETA, arising from or in any way relating to my use of the Uber Voucher provided by WETA. I am aware of California Civil Code Section 1542, which provides: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party." Being aware of California Civil Code Section 1542, I agree to expressly waive any rights I may have thereunder, as well as under any other statute or common law principles of similar effect.
