We believe that children have a fundamental right to be safe in every aspect of their lives and we all must act in the best interest of your child and our students.
In keeping with our core values and mission statement, ICS has adopted a Child Protection Policy to guide our staff, volunteers, students and families in matters related to the safety and care of children attending our school. Your awareness and support of the policy is required. You can access the Child Protection Policy on our website:
https://www.icsaddis.org/community-portal.
As part of our Child Protection Policy, parents who are out of the country for more than one day must designate an official guardian for their children by submitting this guardianship authorization. In the unlikely event of a health or disciplinary concern, we need to be able to contact someone locally with the authority to make medical and disciplinary decisions. A guardian is not necessary if one parent is still present.
ICS may follow up with parents if the parental absence period is extensive or if the school has any concerns about the child's well-being.
