I am Lester John Cruz Alilin, currently a 5th year student, taking BS Architecture in University of Santo Tomas. I am conducting a thesis project, entitled:
“Para-Athletics Training and Rehabilitation Complex: Redefining the Paradigm of Sports Architecture for Persons with Disabilities”
This study aims to: (1) determine the effectiveness of a training and rehabilitation complex to the performance of para-athletes, especially with designs implemented for the convenience of disabled people; (2) explore different strategies and approaches of inclusive design in sports architecture, and; (3) investigate existing design parameters in sports architecture, and analyze what could be improved or added to the parameters that would cater first and foremost to the para-athletes and disabled people.
This form contains questions about the details and information about the Paralympians' lifestyle, including training schedule, visit to the doctor, and the like. This benefits the project by analyzing the flow of movement of the athletes, configuring the space that they need in order to move freely, and developing a program that helps both players and staff to fulfill their training schedule without complications.
This survey may take up to 8-10 minutes of your time. Opinions and suggestions are highly appreciated. It is with great gratitude that all who participates in answering this form will be acknowledged. Thank you very much and God Bless!
