Grace C Mae Advocate Center will be hosting a Mental Health Summit at Washington High School on October 1, 2022 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

During the retreat, students in grades 9-12 will meet in a large group assembly and then go into separate breakout rooms, have a chance to win prizes, as well as meet exhibitors that could provide valuable connections to them. Throughout the assembly and breakout sessions, students will learn about the importance of mental health. We will be using the teen curriculum which Dr. Patricia Gilbaugh, Founder and Executive Director of Grace C Mae Advocate Center, developed. This curriculum takes the fear and hesitation out of starting conversations about mental health by improving understanding and providing an action plan that teaches people to safely and responsibly identify and address a potential mental illness.
