PhD workshop 1 Dec 2021: Diversity and Dialogue – Indigenous and transnational engagements

The workshop is a pre-conference event that will be arranged on 1 December 2021 in conjunction with the annual, interdisciplinary, and international ETMU conference (see https://aftercrises.edu.oulu.fi). The participants may choose to attend the workshop virtually or face- to- face at the University of Oulu. The purpose of the workshop is to create a space for the PhD researchers to discuss their research related to critical studies on migration, minorities, and indigenous peoples.

-Mulki Al-Sharmani, Professor of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies (University of Helsinki, Faculty of Arts)
-Nick Baron, Associate Professor in History (University of Nottingham, History Department)
-Rauna Kuokkanen, Research Professor of Arctic Indigenous Studies University of Lapland)

Please note that we will ask everyone to also submit "burning questions" - even if you wish to submit an abstract. This way we can ensure everyone's participation even though the possibility for full presentations is limited.

An unofficial get-together will be arranged after the workshop with all the face-to-face participants in Oulu.
