WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)

Hazardous Materials can cause serious health problems in workers.
WHIMIS provides information on hazardous materials in the workplace through a system of hazardous warning product labels and SDS sheets that outline safe product use.
SDS (Safety Data Sheets) are available in the site office.
Workers are responsible for reading product labels prior to use and taking all reasonable measures to reduce exposure.
WHIMIS certifications are required to be renewed annually, if your WHMIS is out of date contact the Arkay Safety Coordinator to discuss renewal.
