2020-2021 Reopening Parent Survey
We are continuing to work on plans for re-opening our school buildings in the 2020-21 school year. While developing these plans we are focusing on three main priorities: 1) ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of our students, staff, families, and community; 2) providing continuity in learning with the highest quality possible; and 3) clearly and effectively communicating our progress toward a plan as well as our final plan.
On Tuesday, June 23, we received guidance from ISBE regarding the reopening of schools. We will follow this guidance as well as guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Henderson County Health Department as closely as possible; however, we realize that some of the recommendations will pose challenges for some of our students, their families, and our staff.
As you know, this situation and guidance is very fluid and changes on a daily basis. Since we cannot predict exactly what the fall will look like, we need to be prepared for a variety of options. We value the input of our families in this process. In fact, it is absolutely crucial to our planning that we get input from as many of our families as possible.
As a result, we have created a very short survey to help us understand what is most important to you for the return to school in the fall. We are asking that you complete one survey for each child in your household enrolled in West Central C.U.S.D. #235 by Thursday, July 9.
With your input, we will make the best decision we can for all of our students, families and staff.
Thank you for taking the time to fill out this survey. Stay well!
