SPRING/SUMMER SCRIMMAGE SESSIONS AND ELITE INVITATIONAL SESSIONS.

Welcome to the Surrey Rams Spring/Summer Basketball Sessions!


We’re thrilled to announce our upcoming Spring/Summer sessions, designed to keep our players at the top of their game during the post season. From April to July, join us for a series of basketball activities that are not just about honing skills. The focus will be competing in practice in scrimmage/match format, a key tool for in game development. Our Spring/Summer session is about providing a balanced lifestyle for our student-athletes.

Why Attend?

  • Stay Competitive: Getting ready for CVL or NL playoff matches or attending the prestigious Eurobasket Barcelona tournament.
  • Stay Prepared: Use these sessions as a springboard for trials and to maintain peak physical condition during the off-season.
  • NL and CVL 2024-25 Team Trials: Use these sessions to prepare for next seasons team trials.

Exam Period Adjustments: We recognize the importance of academic success. Therefore, we’ve adjusted our schedule to accommodate the exam season in May and June, ensuring our players have ample time to study.

Special Invitation to Year 11 and Year 13 Students: As you gear up for your exams, remember that physical exercise is a powerful tool for stress relief and mental focus. We invite you to join these sessions as a way to balance your revision schedule with physical activity. It’s a chance to clear your mind, stay fit, and return to your studies with renewed energy.

Summer Elite and Scrimmage Sessions: While our elite sessions offer intensive training with limited spots, our Monday night summer scrimmages are open to all players in the U10 – U16 age groups. It’s a perfect opportunity for everyone to play, improve, and enjoy the game.

Practice venue, dates and timing:

MONDAY NIGHT 12-weeks Spring/Summer sessions. These will be an 1 hour open scrimmage (playing matches in practice) for each age group. The focus for these sessions is to get the boys playing as much as possible. (Due to court availability, we will be using two locations - please see info below)

Locations: Guildford County School: 15th - 29th April, 24th June - 15th July 2024

Locations: Rodborough School: 13th  May- 17th June 2024


  • U12 Time: 17:30 - 18:30 @ GCS | 18:00 - 19:00 @ Rodborough
  • U14 Time: 18:30 - 19:30 @ GCS | 19:00 - 20:00 @ Rodborough
  • U16 Time: 19:30 - 20:30 @ GCS | 20:00 - 21:00 @ Rodborough

MONDAY NIGHT SCRIMMAGE RAMS SESSION COST

 *Please note the sessions will cost £111.00 for the 12 weeks


We will also be running an NL Prospects invite-only 12-weeks (Tuesday Nights) Elite session for prospect NL U12 / U14 sessions, and an invite-only 13-weeks Elite sessions for prospect U16/U18 candidates on Thursday nights.  

*Please note that invite spaces are limited to maximize scrimmage time and skill development so we advise you register players on the courses to avoid disappointment.

*** THE 12 WEEKS INVITATIONAL SUMMER ELITE SESSIONS:

  • U14 Cadet sessions for current U12 and U14 players (for school yr 6,  7, and 8 and 9) on Tuesday nights at ACS Cobham/Rodborough School 18:30 – 20:00 (During the Spring/Summer Term, this season replaces the Wednesday night GCS Sessions).
    • This will be an invitational session for current U12/U14 NL players in school year 6, 7, 8  and 9 players who have played U12 NL, U14 NC and U14 NP League this season, or players who are aspiring to play NL next season

  • U16 N.L prospect Summer Elite sessions for U16 players (for School yr 9 and 10) on Thursday  nights from 18:00- 19:30 at ACS Cobham/Colingwood College.
    • This session will be an invitational session for year 9, and year 10 players who have ambitious to play U16 Premier and U16 Conference next season.
      • This session will be open to this season’s CVL and NL players who have been invited. CVL players who are interested in attending, please check with coach Lekan if this is suitable. 
      • This session will be limited to 30 players (if you are interested, please contact coach Lekan)
      • COST: 13 WEEKS £138.50 per player

*** THE 13 WEEKS INVITATIONAL SUMMER ELITE SESSIONS:

  • U18 N.L Prospect Summer Elite sessions (For school year 11, 12 and 13) on Thursday night from 19:30 – 21:00 at ACS Cobham/Collingwood College.
    • This session will be invitational for players who are interested in playing NL U18 premier or conference next season.
      • This session will be limited to 30 players (if you are interested, please contact coach Lekan)
      • ****PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS THE ONLY SESSION U18’S WILL HAVE ACCESS TO THIS SUMMER SO WE WOULD RECOMMEND REGISTERING EARLY TO AVOID DISAPOINTMENT****
      • COST: 13 WEEKS £138.50 per player

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR SUMMER SESSIONS:

To express interest for the sessions above, please either complete the registration below or email coach lekan at lekan@surreyrams.net who will add your registration to your child’s TEAMO account.

**For invitational sessions** if you are interested in having your child attend the elite sessions, please contact coach Lekan to see if your son meets the requirements to attend these sessions.

***PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SURREY RAMS WILL USE TEAMO TO COLLECT PAYMENT FOR SUMMER SESSIONS REGISTRATION, SO WE WOULD RECOMMEND PARENTS INFORMING COACH LEKAN WHICH SESSIONS YOUR CHILD WILL BE INTERESTED IN TO PARTICIPATE. THIS WILL HELP TO ENSURE YOUR CHILD IS REGISTERED TO THE SESSIONS SINCE THESE SESSIONS ARE LIMITED AND WILL BE ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS ***
