Montgomery County Executive and Council At-Large Candidate Online Forums
The forum is intended to ensure that the interests of seniors in the County are addressed during the election process.

SCHEDULE
County Executive Candidates on Sunday, April 24, 4 - 6 pm
Council At-Large Candidates on Sunday, May 1, 4 - 6 pm
Moderated by Rebecca Wagner, executive director emerita of Interfaith Works

REGISTRATION
Please use this form to register for the forums and to submit questions you would like to see addressed by the candidates. Keep in mind that these are local offices and limit your questions to issues that can addressed on the local level. You will receive notification of the Zoom link for each session one day prior to the event.

CANDIDATE STATEMENTS
The candidates have been invited to provide a written statement reflecting their thoughts about the three or four issues they believe are of the greatest importance to older adults in the County, and their proposed policies to address those interests. They have been asked to tailor their statement as much as possible to the specific needs and interests of seniors. Statements will be posted as they are received so please check back regularly.

The statements can be accessed at:

QUESTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES
You are invited to submit questions for the candidates. The submissions will be reviewed and those questions believed to represent the broad interests of the audience will be asked during this forum. Given time constraints not all questions may be addressed.

FORMAT
During the forum, candidates will have time to introduce themselves and expand on the key points in their written statements. That will be followed by the moderator’s questions distributed equitably among candidates. Live questions will not be accepted from the audience during the event. The allowed length for responses will be based on the final number of questions asked. The forum will conclude with brief closing remarks from each candidate.

SPONSORS
The forum is sponsored by Bethesda Metro Area Village, Bradley Hills Village, Chevy Chase At Home, Friendship Heights Neighbors Network, Little Falls Village, and Silver Spring Village.
