Sign-up for the FREE Sunday Math Enrichment Program which includes 6 sessions and the March 17th CCUSD Math Tournament. This form must be completed by Parent/Guardian.  DEADLINE: Wednesday, January 24, 2024. NOTE:  Correct starting date is Sunday, January 28th.

The FREE Sunday Math Enrichment Program is designed for students who like the challenge of these kinds of problems:

  • How many squares more is a 4x4 square than a 3x3 square?
  • How many 2-digit odd numbers contain the digit 4?
  • You have a drawer with 10 black socks and 10 brown socks. The socks are the same except for the color.  What is the smallest number you must take out of the drawer to be sure you have a matching pair to wear?

The Sunday Math Enrichment Program is open to all interested 4th and 5th grade Culver City School students. Parents encouraging a hesitant child to participate is fine provided they like doing those kinds of problems.
  • Sundays, 2:00 – 3:15 PM, January 21st through March 10th, excluding President’s Day, February 18th. See schedule below.
  • Students must arrive by 2:00 and will be dismissed at 3:15.
  • Parents are responsible for assuring that their children arrive on time and are picked up promptly.
  • The Sunday Math Enrichment Program will be held in the El Rincon Elementary School Cafeteria.
  • In order for continued participation, students are expected to be on their best school behavior.

The Sunday, March 17, 2024, CCUSD Math Tournament is also open to all 4th and 5th grade Culver City School students.

  • All students will receive a Certificate of Participation.
  • Top scoring students will be invited to the Saturday, April 13th Los Angeles Countywide E = M C-squared Math Olympiads Tournament.
