You are invited to invest in yourself this summer to move your education forward, gain professional experience, build skills, and grow your network--all while contributing to your local community.
Your challenge is to develop a project that addresses a specific issue within your local community that can be completed during the summer. A successful Hometown Challenge project is 10 hours of weekly work over 8 weeks of the summer - all designed to connect your field of study with your larger career goals. It must also help you develop in some of the following career readiness skills such as: Teamwork/Collaboration, Problem Solving, Leadership, and Global/Intercultural fluency. If you complete the Hometown Challenge before the fall semester begins, you will receive a $1000 scholarship for the Fall 2023 semester.
